Solution
Siplast provided a customized single-source solution consisting of roofing, waterproofing, and overburden components to meet the project’s performance and sustainability needs:
- High-performance waterproofing for vegetated
and pedestrian spaces
Siplast Teranap SBS-modified bitumen membrane was selected for its exceptional waterproofing performance and ability to provide a durable, watertight barrier for both the vegetated roof and pedestrian access areas. - Durable materials to withstand foot traffic
The balconies were completed with stone pavers supplied by Siplast, while the vegetated roof featured a low-maintenance sedum blend specifically developed to help withstand Oklahoma’s harsh weather conditions. - Robust roofing for reliable protection
To complete the roofing system, Siplast’s trusted Paradiene 20 TG / 30 FR TG two-ply SBS-modified bitumen system was installed—providing layered, lasting protection for the active arts venue.
The resulting applications reflected Tulsa’s commitment to sustainability and protecting its hub of local culture and creativity. With a resilient vegetated roof and pedestrian- friendly design, the Hardesty Arts Center continues to serve as a vibrant landmark for residents and visitors.
